With its panoramic view of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding mountains, this spot is perfect for a day trip or an extended stay at one of the campsites.
The waters are clear and perfect for swimming.
Nevada Beach is a beautiful spot on the shores of Lake Tahoe that is divided into two distinct yet interconnected areas.
The first area, which consists of a beautiful beach, is perfect for visitors who want to relax on the sand and swim.
Tip: Bring an umbrella and reapply sunscreen every couple of hours. It’s easy to get heat exhaustion at higher altitudes. Growing up in Kings Beach I used to see tourists pass out all the time in the summer. Don’t be that tourist face down in the sand because you didn’t drink enough water or bring shade.

On the other side of Nevada Beach is an ideal area for camping and other evening activities.
With 51 campsites to choose from, you’re sure to find the perfect spot to enjoy the best of Nevada. Whether you’re looking to stargaze, or simply relax under the stars, this is the place for you.
Propane firepits are allowed at the campsite. Open fires and charcoal barbeques are not allowed.
Reservations for the campsite can be made with the Forest Service Here.
Nevada Beach is the perfect spot if you’re looking for a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle.
This beautiful beach really has all the family-friendly amenities you could ever want and is close to Stateline so you’re never too far from anything you might need.
Nevada Beach Picnic Tables
Nearby Hiking
The Nevada Beach and Round Mound Trail.
There is a nearby 5.2-mile loop trail situated near Zephyr Cove, Nevada.
This trail is usually classified as a simple path, and it takes an average of 2 hours and 8 minutes to finish.
Although it is a favorite trail for camping, hiking, and mountain biking, it is still possible to relish some seclusion during less crowded times of the day.
The optimal months to explore this trail are from March to November. Unfortunately, this trail does not permit dogs, so you will have to leave your furry friend at home.
Parking
The parking areas open at 8 am. Parking costs $10 per car. This increases on busy holidays.
Parking is only about 200 feet from the beach and there is a nice walkway to get there.
Once the lots are full they lock the gate. If you want to leave and come back in, you are out of luck. The gate is locked.
During the peak summer times, the cars start lining up at 7:30 am.
Get there early for the best parking.
You could park along Elks Point Road and walk about a ½ mile in. I don’t recommend this if you are bringing a lot of gear or small children.
Large group pavilion rental space
Reservations can be made for large groups to rent out the pavilion.
The pavilion can accommodate groups of up to 150. The pavilion provides a wonderful experience at the beach for your large group and has access to restrooms and other amenities.
Kayak Rentals
In addition to regular beach-going activities, you can also rent a kayak to take your vacation up a notch.
This is a great way to see the Nevada coastline from a different perspective and get some exercise at the same time.
Concession Stands
Moreover, you will never go hungry as there are food concession stands available onsite.
There is a wide variety of food available at these concession stands, so you’re sure to find something that everyone will enjoy.
Whether you’re in the mood for a hot dog or some ice cream, you’ll be able to find it at one of the food concession stands at the beach.
However, Nevada Beach does not allow dogs, camping (campsites are nearby), trailers, or open/ charcoal fires. It’s a lovely beach with a clearly defined swimming area.
I highly recommend this beach.
