How to Get There

If you’re planning on visiting the beach, be sure to enter via the boat ramp entrance at the park’s northern end.

There is a parking fee for using the lot, but the ramp is open from 6 am to 8 pm from May through September.

You can paddle around Sand Point, start exploring the water to Chimney Beach, and go to Secret Harbor. 

If you have the time, you can continue kayaking to Skunk Harbor. This is a great way to spend a day if you love being on the water and taking in the scenery.

There is a separate parking area just for kayaks at the put-in location for the boat ramp.

It is conveniently located just a short distance away so that you can easily load and unload your kayak without carrying it very far.

Kayak Rentals and Amenities

If you do not have a kayak, you may be able to rent one from a rental shop close to the boat ramp.

The rates for renting a kayak are usually for a full day or half day. Check with the rental company ahead of time to see if they offer discounts for extended periods.
