If you’re seeking a stunning spot for photos at Lake Tahoe, Secret Cove Beach is a must-visit.

Nestled amidst granite boulders and sandy shores, its crystal-clear waters are truly captivating.

Conveniently located along Highway 28 on the east shore of South Lake Tahoe, it’s easily accessible for your adventure.

Kayak Launch and Accessibility

Secret Cove Beach offers a remote and picturesque setting for kayaking enthusiasts. While it’s known for its seclusion and tranquility, it’s important to note that it’s also a nudist beach.

Due to the possibility of encountering nudity and steep hikes required to access the highway, it’s advisable to avoid kayaking with children here.

For a more peaceful experience, weekdays are recommended as they tend to be less crowded.

Also, while it’s a beautiful spot, it’s not ideal for beginner kayakers due to the required trekking to launch your kayak here.

The path to the cove involves a hike, which can be challenging when carrying a kayak and gear. If you’re a beginner, you might want to start with easier access points around the lake.

But, despite its remote location, Secret Cove Beach provides an ideal setting for adventurous kayaking.

The clean and shallow waters, surrounded by stunning granite rocks, offer a memorable experience for paddlers.

However, families seeking a kayaking spot may want to explore other options due to the beach’s nudist reputation and steep access.
