The Washoe people have used the Cave Rock area for religious ceremonies, hunting, and gathering plants, pine nuts, and berries.

Kings Beach State Recreation

The 979 feet recreation area also features a playground to keep young children occupied during their stay in the park. There is also a convention center available in the area for your special events.
Skylandia Park and Beach
Skylandia Park in Lake Tahoe is a perfect family-friendly park with green spaces and picnic areas for a relaxing day outdoors. It also boasts a clear and sandy beach.
If you’re planning to visit this fun and amazing park, it is accessible from Lake Forest Road just outside of Tahoe City and drives for 1 1/2 to the east.
The best time to visit would be during the summer when the weather is perfect for swimming and enjoying the outdoors.
My husband and I love to fish at Lake Tahoe and Pyramid Lake, and we can often be found taking visiting friends and family on boat trips around the lakes.
