This summer 2024, Sand Harbor will require reservations for visiting.
Starting July 1, visitors can begin making online reservations. This summer will serve as a soft launch for the system, with reservations required only on weekends and holidays.
By next year, the reservation system will be mandatory seven days a week from April 15 to October 15.

Nude Beaches
Nude beaches? This beach is located between two nude beaches, so…keep that in mind. The occasional rogue nudist is to be expected. If you see the signs for nudists, don’t be surprised to see nudists on the beach and hiking or even jogging the surrounding trails.
This beautiful beach at Lake Tahoe is accessible via Highway 28. You’ll also be able to find a parking spot for your vehicle there; remember to go early, or you’ll lose out on parking.
However, before you can reach this paradise, you’ll have to hike a fairly challenging trail. You’ll be able to find your way along the trail easily, as there are road signs placed at intervals. This way, you won’t have to worry about getting lost while traversing the trailhead.
